| Relational components allow you to take a set of geometric objects and reuse them in another model or at a different location in the same model. The component objects maintain their dependency relationships which are transferred to existing objects in the new environment. Here, the frames and stringers are repetitive elements in the design, but no two are exact copies -- each one varies somewhat from the next. To make the component frames, we created generic transverse frames at 2 locations in a 36-ft hull model and saved them as components. Each frame conforms automatically to the hull and deck at its particular location. | |
